TOP PRO FREESTYLE MOTOCROSS RIDERS ADDED TO 2018 SoCAL HARVEST LINEUP AT ANGEL STADIUM

X-Games FMX Riders Join Pastor & Evangelist Greg Laurie and Leading Christian Musicians at 29th Annual Southern California Harvest Crusades, Aug. 17 – 19

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Aug. 9, 2018 —Some of the top professional Freestyle Motocross riders and X-Games athletes in the world have been added to the program lineup for the 2018 SoCal Harvest taking place at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Aug. 17 – 19.  The Freestyle Motocross show will take place inside Angel Stadium at 6:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, Aug. 18, during the second night of the annual Southern California Harvest Crusades with Greg Laurie outreach, and will feature FMX legend and former world champion Nate Adams, Jimmy Fitzpatrick and the “Fitz Army,” Jarryd McNeil, Taka Higashino, Destin Cantrell, and Todd Potter.

“We’re thrilled that so many top-name professional FMX riders like Nate Adams and Jimmy Fitzpatrick will be making an appearance at the 2018 SoCal Harvest,” said Harvest Crusades Executive Director John Collins.  “The athletes will do some pretty amazing tricks during Saturday’s Freestyle Motocross show, and it will be high-energy and entertaining for people of all ages.”

Nate Adams added, “I had the privilege of riding at the SoCal Harvest over a decade ago, and I’m so glad to be back this year with an outstanding group of FMX athletes.  I’m happy for the opportunity to share my faith in Christ through my sport, and I hope that many will come out to Angel Stadium for the SoCal Harvest to check out the FMX show and  to hear a life-changing message from Greg Laurie.”

Southern California pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie has brought the Harvest Crusades evangelistic outreach to Orange County annually for the past 29 years, and each year he delivers the simple, life-changing message of hope that can be found in Jesus Christ.  Called the “evangelist of the future” by the late Billy Graham, Laurie’s talks encompass topics that appeal to people of any age and answer questions like: Why am I here?  Is God real?  What happens when I die?

In addition to the FMX riders, throughout the weekend Laurie will be joined onstage by leading Christian musicians including Grammy winning songwriter and worship leader Chris Tomlin (the “most sung music artist in history”), Grammy nominated MercyMe (I Can Only Imagine), worship band Passion, Phil Wickham, Jordan Feliz, hip hop artist Andy Mineo, and renowned guitarist Lincoln Brewster (musicians vary by night).  In addition, during the Sunday evening program, Laurie will interview actress Madeline Carroll, who most recently co-starred in the film, I Can Only Imagine.

The 2018 SoCal Harvest begins at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday (gates open at 5 p.m.) and at 6 p.m. on Sunday (gates open at 4 p.m.).  A tailgate party will take place on Saturday from

3 – 5 p.m. in the parking lot under the “Big A” sign.  Angel Stadium of Anaheim charges $15 for parking fees for cars and $30 for buses. Each night the event will be interpreted in Spanish and signing for the hearing impaired will be provided.

All three nights of the 2018 SoCal Harvest will be broadcast live at www.harvest.org and daily blog accounts of the crusade will also be made available.  Updates about the Harvest outreach will be posted on Facebook, Instagram (search #HarvestSoCal) and Twitter.
